- Notes: Built as steel hull trawler M/V Kittiwake for Atlantic Fisheries Co. of Charleston. Acquired by Navy, commissioned as USS Curlew and designated AM-69; converted to minesweeper at Quincy Dry Dock and Yacht Co., Quincy, MA from 6 Sep 1940 to 10 May 1941. Swept for mines off Staten Island in 1941 before being assigned to Panama Canal, serving there until Feb 1944. Reclassified as Miscellaneous Auxiliary IX-170 on 1 Jun 1944. Postwar returned to Maritime Commission for disposal 27 Sep 1946.
