- Notes: Built as DD-178, a member of the Wickes class. Laid up in Pacific Reserve Fleet for 18 years. Recommissioned for conversion at Mare Island to high-speed minesweeper in 1940, losing one boiler and stack, torpedo tubes, to compensate for sweeping gear. Convoy escort in Caribbean and eastern Atlantic in 1941-42. During invasion of North Africa, 8 Nov 1942, she forced the surrender of French corvette Victoria. Returned to east coast convoy duty to Nov 1943, then sailed for Panama and the Pacific. At Kwajalein, Hollandia, Saipan, Guam, Lingayen Gulf, and Iwo Jima. Reclassified as Miscellaneous Auxiliary AG-105 on 5 Jun 1945. Sunk as target off San Diego 8 Nov 1945. Received six battle stars for World War II service.
