- Notes: Captured a world record for shipbuilding, just 17 days from keel laying to launching. On patrol outside Pearl Harbour on 7 Dec 1941, she sank a Japanese midget sub trying to enter the harbor an hour before the main air assault. Converted to APD-16 Jan 1943. Lost to Kamikaze attack off Ormoc, Leyte 7 Dec 1944, three years to the day after Peal Harbor.
