Sank aircraft carrier USS Yorktown and destroyer USS Hamman 7 Jun 1942, after the former had been badly damaged by Japanese carrier aircraft on 4 Jun. Missing from 27 Jul 1943, and probably sunk that day by submarine USS Scamp off New Hanover.
