- Notes: Took part in the Spanish Civil War. During first months of WW2 carried out several patrols in the Mediterranean from Italian bases. Shifted to Bordeaux in fall 1940 to operate in the Atlantic. Tazzoli was the most successful of her class, sinking 19 merchant ships totalling 96,533 tons in eight patrols. Converted to transport materials to the Far East in 1943, she was lost on her first transport mission. Probably sunk by aircraft in the Bay of Biscay 16 May 1943.
