- Service: 1916, 3rd L.C.S. 1917, 2nd Battle of Heligoland Bight. Subsequently reconstructed as aircraft carrier 1924-28, Courageous was torpedoed and sunk 1939 during World War II. Sister Glorious also converted to aircraft carrier and lost in 1940.
