- Service: Brioni was the first of six sisters built for the "Puglia" Societa Anonima di Navigazione a Vapore (Bari). The others were Adriatic, Brindisi, Zara, Monte Gargano and Barletta, all completed in 1931. After 1932 all were transferred to the Adriatic Line. Employed as armed merchant cruisers in World War II, Brioni was sunk by air attack at Tobruk on 2 Nov 1942.
