- Notes: Point Cypress was one of a large class of 82-foot cutters used for port security and search and rescue. On completion she was homeported at Boston. In 1965, she was one of 9 cutters prepared for transfer to South Vietnamese waters as part of Coast Guard Squadron One in support of Operation Market Time for interdiction of Viet Cong coastal activities. They arrived at Vung Tau 23 Feb 1966 to begin their patrol duties. On 10 May Point Cypress helped destroy a beached trawler attempting to deliver ammunition supplies to the VC in the first successful interdiction of Market Time.
Point Cypress was one of the last two cutters left in Squadron One when she made her lst patrol 4 Aug 1970 before transferring to the Republic of Vietnam Navy on 15 Aug and being renamed Hồ Duy.
A total of 26 Point-class cutters were eventually transferred to Vietnam.
