- Notes: Walrus was lead ship of her class, but her completion was much delayed by electrical fire in 1986 during construction. Completed in 1989, with sea trials carried out in 1990-91. Took part in multiple NATO exercises and served as a COMINT intelligence gathering post in the Arabian Sea and the Persian Gulf in 2002 as part of "Operastion Enduring Freedom." Decommissioned in 2023, she will be provide spare parts for her sisters Zeeleeuw, Dolfijn, and Bruinvis which remain in service.
