- Notes: Originaaly designated as general purpose 'sloops' rather than special purpose 'frigates'. The helicopter hangar lift served as both the roof and flight deck. The most important innovation was the COSAG power plant, essentially half that installed in the Kent class destroyers; the forward funnel served the boiler room and the aft funnel the gas turbine. Generally considered successful ships, they had rather short careers because of manpower shortages from the late 1970s. Zulu was sold to Indonesia in 1985.
