Served as Cimarron class oiler through 1941. Converted to Aircraft Escort AVG-26 at Newport News in 1942; redesignated CVE-26 in Jul 1943. North Africa, Gilbert Islands, Kwajalein, Eniwetok, Marianas, Leyte Gulf (damaged 25 Oct 44), Okinawa, (damaged by Kamikaze 4 May 45), Pacific raids 1943. Sticken at time of decommissioning because of extensive repairs needed; broken up in 1948.
