- Notes: Last of five sisters, shown as completed. During 1943 refit she gave up No.3 5" mount, 1.1' guns, and middle quad torpedo tubes for 40mm and 20mm light AA.
Served in Atlantic and briefly in Pacific before US joined WW2. War service all in Atlantic, against blockade runners and submarines in South Atlantic, intercepting Ammeliese Essberger in Sep 1942 and participating in the destruction of U128 in May 1943. Took part in invasions of Normandy in Jun 1944 and Southern France in Aug. Returned to US for further AA upgrade to 5-5" and 14-40mm (landing all TT) in anticipation of deployment to Pacific, but war ended just as refit was completed. Scrapped 1946.
