- Notes: Designed and constructed specifically for Coast Guard use on the Great Lakes. Many features in common with the "Wind" class icebreakers, but longer and wider with a shallower draft. Classification later changed to WAGB on 1 May 1966. Homeported in Cheboygan, MI, she was decommissioned on the same date that a new USCGC Mackinaw was commissioned.
