to make way for gasoline storage, additional space for electronics. Formerly DD-244, Williamson was redesignated AVP-15 in Jul 1938, and then as AVD-2 in Aug 1940. Assigned with Patrol Wing Four based at Seattle. Converted and redesignated APD-27 in 1941.
