- Service: Built by Italy for the Soviet Union. Service in Black Sea Fleet. Damaged by German aircraft near Odessa 30 Aug 1941. Towed to Sevastopol for repairs. Ferried supplies to Sevastopol during siege, making toal of 40 round trips. Heavily damaged 27 Jun 1942 by German bombers (Ju88 of I/KG76) off Crimea. Towed to Novorossiysk where she foundered. Hull raised and scrapped 1944-45. Four sister ships laid down in Black Sea yards, but none completed.
