- Service: Built as Lahneck for the Hanseatic Line of Bremen. On the Tagus in 1914, she was interned By Portugal at the start of World War I. Seized for the Portuguese Navy 23 Feb 1916. Converted into the auxiliary cruiser Gil Eannes. From 1927 used as a troop transport and then as a supply and hospital ship in support of the Portuguese White Fleet in the Newfoundland fishery. In 1942 she was handed over to the organization of codfish fishing owners. Later she was replaced by a newer Gil Eannes in 1955. This latter ship is now a museum ship and student residence at the Port of Viana do Castelo.
