- Service: Home Fleet 1941-42, Mediterranean Fleet 1942. Made many supply runs to Malta. Transferred to Far East and back. Damaged by torpedo from German submarine U375 1 Dec 1942; towed to Gibraltar for temporary repairs and then back to UK for major refit. Sent to British Pacific Fleet, arriving Aug 1945. After transport duties, returned to UK Jun 1946. Postwar served as flagship and as cadet officer training ship.
