- Notes: Early corvette design intended for North Sea service based on whaler hull, lengthened by 30 feet. Characterized by short forecastle, foremast in front of narrow bridge. One of ten corvettes transferred to USN under reverse lend lease, Begonia became Impulse (PG-68) from 1942-5. Returned to RN in Aug 1945, she subsequently became mercantile Begonlock in 1946, Fundiciones Molinas in 1949, Astiluzi in 1951, and Rio Moro in 1955; wrecked en route Canary Islands/Valencia 21 Jan 1970.
