- Service: 18th CS, Home Fleet, Sep-Oct 1939. 2nd CS, Home Fleet, Nov 1939-Feb 1940. 19th CS, Home Fleet, Mar 1940-May 1942. Major refit and replacement of armor Mar-Oct 1940. While part of cover for Arctic convoy QP-11, on 30 Apr 1942 she was torpedoed by U456 and severely damaged. She managed to get underway, but while proceeding slowly she was attacked on 2 May by German destroyers. She managed to sink Z26, but took another torpedo and had to be scuttled by destroyer Foresight.
