- Notes: Designed in the U.K. but built in Australia for the Royal Australian Navy. Transferred to the Royal Navy in 1938 as part payment for two cruisers joining the RAN. Equipped with Walrus amphibians, she served in the South Atlantic 1939-42 and Eastern fleet 1942-43 at the occupation of Madagascar. During 1943 she was converted into a depot and repair ship for landing craft and joined the Home fleet in 1944. She was torpedoed off Normandy 11 Aug 1944 but not seriously damaged. After temporary repairs she was laid up in reserve. Postwar she became the mercantile Hellenic Prince in 1946. Scrapped in 1964.
