Requisitioned as an armed merchant cruiser, 24 Aug 1939. Second funnel removedas shown here. Sunk by German battlecruisers Scharnhorst and Gneisenau in the North Atlantic, 23 Nov 1939; 26 rescued by Germans but 270 lost.
