- Notes: Unique German purpose-built submarine chasers. The design of "War chaser" (Kriegs-U-Jager) was developed on the basis of a fishing trawler with adaptation to naval requirements. For improvement of seaworthiness the forecastle was lengthened, bridge was shifted forward. Class of 25, but only 21 were completed, of which 12 were war losses. KUJ1 was sunk 20 Oct 1944 by Soviet submarine V-4 at Nordkyn.
