- Notes: The Artilleriefährprahm or AFP (Artillery ferry) was a gunboat derivative of the Marinefährprahm or MFP (Naval ferry barge). These ships were used for escorting convoys, shore bombardment and minelaying. They were developed for Operation Sea Lion in 1940, the cancelled German invasion of England. They served in the Mediterranean, Baltic and Black Seas as well as the English Channel and Norwegian coastal waters.
