- Service: Purposed as a cadet training ship, but with sufficient armament to be useful as a combat vessel. In Martinique in June 1940. Immobilized and disarmed in agreement signed 1 May 1942. On 3 Jun 1943 country turned over to Algerian government and Jeanne D'Arc made available after refitting to Allies. Took part in operations off Corsica and with Flank Force shelling enemy positions along Italian Riviera.
