Placed out of commission 23 May 1900 at Portsmouth NH; recommissioned 23 Sep 1902 for duty in Caribbean and Latin America, including Trinidad, Chile, Uruguay, Brazil until Jan 1904. Arrived Santo Domingo during another revolution in Jun 1904. Returned to Boston and decommissioned 1 Aug 1905. Sold 1911
