- Service: Defense of Mobile. Attempt to raise blockade, 17 May 1864, ended when she ran aground. Battle of Mobile Bay, 5 Aug 1864 (flagship);
disabled and captured. Commissioned in U.S. Navy 19 Aug 1864. Assault on Ft. Morgan, 19-22 Aug. Transferred to Mississippi Squadron, became district flagship. Decommissioned 19 Aug 1865. Sold 27 Nov 1867 and broken up.
