- Actions: Retvizan was the most advanced Russian battleship at the time of her completion. Torpedoed in the Japanese attack on Port Arthur on 9 Feb 1904, taking on 2100 tons of water. Damaged in the Yellow Sea battle, being hit by eighteen 8in to 12in shells. During the siege of Port Arthur she was hit by thirteen 11in howitzer shells and sank on 6 Dec 1904. Later raised and repaired by the Japanese and taken over as Hizen.
