- Notes: Class launched from Oct 1915 to May 1918. Intended as utility destroyers primarily for antisubmarine work. Low freeboard, reinforced bows for ramming, small turning circle. Built at eighteen different yards. All served with Dover Patrol, Nore Local Defense Floilla, or Portsmouth Escort Force. An additional ten craft were completed as PC-boat decoy patrol craft. Most were sold for breakup in early 1920s. P38 was renamed Spey and used on fishery protection duties until 1938.
