- Notes: Originally ordered for Greece, Chester and sister Birkenhead were both in the 3rd Light Cruiser Squadron (Battle Cruiser Force) throughout WWI. Both were at Jutland where Chester was badly damaged and in which Boy Cornwell's gallantry won a posthumous Victoria Cross.
