- Notes: Friedrich der Grosse was one of three sisters built in principle to the same design by different dockyards. Namesake of the class Grosser Kurfürst was rammed and sunk on her maiden voyage by Konig Wilhelm, 31 May 1878. The other sister Preussen and FdG served into the 1890s, then as harbor ships from 1903, and finally as coal hulks from 1906.
