- Notes: On the 26th of June 1990 the oldest, intact warship of the United States was found in Lake George. It is the Radeau Land Tortoise which, under the
direction of Capt. Samuel Cobb, was built and commissioned on 20.10.1758. The armament consisted of seven cannons. It could sail, or be rowed by 26 men.
On 22.10.1758 it was sunk, with the plan to recover it in the spring of 1759, in order to support the occupation of Fort Carillon (later renamed Ticonderoga).
