- Service: Launched 2 Mar 1779 by M. de Sartine, Minister of Marine and assigned to command of Ens Varages. Cruised in the English Channel during the summer of 1779. Engaged two British cutters of 14 and 16 guns and fought to a draw. On 11 July she was damaged by a remarkable lightning strike. Sailed 14 Aug as part of John Paul Jones squadron. Engaged and chased another British cutter on 27 Aug, but with no conclusion. Fought with a British privateer on 8 Feb 1780 off the Azores, receiving enough damage she could not pursue. Later in 1780 she was at Martinique, after which nothing is recorded.
