- Notes: Owned by the Michigan Limestone division of U.S. Steel and operated by the Bradley Transportation Line. Named for Carl David Bradley, president of Michigan Limestone. Largest carrier on the Lakes when launched and first Lake freighter to pass through the new MacArthur Lock, part of the Soo Locks, in 1943. Based at Rogers City, Michigan. Foundered and sank 18 November 1958 in a 60 mph gale about 12 miles SW of Gull Island in northern Lake Michigan. In all, 33 crewmen lost their lives and two survived.
