- Service: Prins Willem van Oranje built for N.V. Maatschappij Zeetransport (Oranje Lijn), Rotterdam. Trans-Atlantic service including sailing into the Great Lakes. In 1958 formally became the Oranje Lijn. Sold 1965 to Deutsche Seereederei V.E.B., Rostock, GDR; renamed Ferdinand Freiligrath. Sold to Cyprus; renamed Freijo 1974. Resold to Panama; renamed Universal Honolulu. Renamed August 8th 1976. Damaged by fire 1977 and laid up in Singapore. Scrapped in Taiwan, 1979.
Up
