Refitted 1959 with increased tonnage and passenger capacity. Became Rossini for Italia in Oct 1963 as shown here and placed on the Genoa-Panama-Valparaiso South America route. Withdrawn from service Aug 1976 and scrapped 1977 at La Spezia.
Sisters Australia and Oceania were also built for Lloyd Triestino, were taken over by Italia and renamed Donizetti and Verdi, and had similar service histories.
