Service: Resolution has six legs that it can use to raise itself out of the sea when installing offshore wind turbines. Designed for use in the North Sea, she has the capacity for ten wind turbines at a time. The whole ship can be hydraulically jacked up out of the sea on her six legs, to provide a stable platform when installing wind turbines. She can raise herself between 10 and 150 ft above the sea floor.
Built for Mayflower Energy Ltd. After the company went into administration, she was purchased by MPI Offshore and renamed MPI Resolution. She has worked on numerous offshore wind farm projects around Great Britain.
