Resumed Swedish-American service 1946-54. Rebuilt 1949 at Howalds, Kiel, with new funnels, lengthened to 590 ft, 19,105 tons, accommodations for 210 first class and 710 tourist class. Sold to North German Lloyd; renamed Berlin, 1955; now measured at 18,600 tons with 98 first class and 878 tourist class. Bremerhaven-New York service. Scrapped in Italy, 1966.
