- Service: Built for Java-China-Japan Lijn NV Far East service between Dutch East Indies and China. Taken over by WSA as troop transport and freighter; first sailing 3 Nov 1942 from San Francisco for SW Pacific. Multiple sailings to Noumea, Attu, Milne Bay, Finschhafen, Saipan, Hollandia, etc., through 1944. At Okinawa she was slightly damaged in an air attack 11 May 1945. A final round trip to Leyte before being released back to the Netherlands Ministry of Shipping at San Pedro, 25 Jan 1946.
