- Service: Lady Rodney was one of five "Lady Boats" built for Canadian National Steamships for passenger and cargo service from Halifax and Boston to Bermuda, Caribbean ports, Trinidad and Demerara. On return they frequently carried bananas. Requisitioned as a troopship 1942-45 and afterwards made repatriation and "war brides" voyages. Refitted and returned to Caribbean service 1947 until this was discontinued in 1953. Sold to Egypt and renamed Mecca for pilgrim trade. On 5 May 1965 she was in collision with British MV Fremantle Star in Gulf of Suez and laid up damaged at Port Said. During the Israel-Egypt war in Jun 1967 she was scuttled in the Suez Canal and later dismantled.
