During restoration renamed Empress of India, but changed to Empress of France in Oct. First postwar voyage Liverpool-Montreal 1 Sep 1948 at 20,448 GRT, with 400 first class and 300 tourist class. Funnels streamlined 1958-59; now 218 first class, 482 tourist class. Sold for breakup 1960.
