- Service: Built for Norddeutscher Lloyd of Bremen. With clipper stem, one funnel, three masts for auxiliary sail, and iron construction, she was NDL's first overseas steamer. Launched 1 Feb 1858, she sailed from Bremen on her maiden voyage 19 Jun 1858, bound for New York. Last voyage Nov 1873 Bremen-Southampton-New York. Sold 1874 to Edward Bates of Liverpool, who had her engines removed and used her as a sailing vessel. On 16 Oct 1882 she was wrecked on South Farallon Islands off San Francisco.
