- Notes: One of seven self-propelled siege mortars, also known as Mörser Karl, designed and built by Rheinmetall. Its largest shell was 2170kg; a lighter 1250kg shell could be thrown 10km. They saw combat in 1941-45, being used to attack the Soviet fortresses of Brest-Litovsk and Sevastopol, and also to shell the Ludendorff Bridge at Remagen. In use, each gun had to be accompanied by a crane, a two-piece heavy transport set of railcars, and several modified tanks to carry shells.
