Quiz #106

Click on any ship Albatross Admiral Makarov

On 2 July 1915, Albatross, light cruiser Augsburg, and three destroyers were en route to lay mines in Russian waters when they were intercepted by a larger Russian force including Admiral Makarov and Bogatyr. Albatross was severely damaged and forced to beach on the Swedish island of Gotland. Later that month the ship was refloated by the Swedes and interned at Oskarshamn until 1919.
