- Service: Atlantic escort 1939 as part of Force F at Halifax. Intercepted blockade runner Arucas in the Denmark Straits 3 Mar 1940. Joined Home fleet and participated in Norwegian campaign. Transferred to Mediterranean fleet in summer 1940; participated in destruction of Italian destroyer Artigliere 13 Oct 1940. Escorted Malta convoys, carried troops to Greece. Hit by Italian explosive motor boats launched by destroyers Crispi and Sella while lying at Suda Bay, Crete, on 26 Mar 1941. Constructive total loss beached in shallow water; wrecked by demolition charges 22 May 1941 during the British evacuation.
